Introduction
Understand prediction markets and place your first trade
Kuest is a peer-to-peer prediction market. Traders buy and sell outcome shares, and each share price reflects the market's current estimate of an outcome's probability.
How a prediction market works
Every prediction is organized into three parts:
| Part | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Event | A topic that groups one or more related questions |
| Market | A question you can trade |
| Outcome | The side you buy or sell, such as Yes or No |
Outcome shares trade between $0.00 and $1.00. A Yes share priced at $0.37 represents an implied probability of about 37%.
Payouts
When a market reaches its final resolution:
- Winning shares settle to $1.00 per share.
- Losing shares settle to $0.00.
- You can hold until resolution or sell before it ends.
The market price is not a guarantee. It changes as traders place and fill orders.
